Skyland is located north of City Park and allows quick access to both City Park Golf Course and Boyd Park. This is mostly a residential neighborhood but is close to many amenities including to I-70 to the north, Stapleton to the east and downtown Denver to the west. Bus lines are also available on the major streets or hop on your bike for a travel around the neighborhood or local area amenities.

LOCATION: The boundaries include Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. to the north; 23rd Avenue to the south; Colorado Blvd. to the east; York Avenue to the west.

ATTRACTIONS: J. Langston Boyd Park and City Park Golf Course.

LOCATION: Golden is located 15 miles west of downtown Denver, accessible by automobile or light rail. Also easy access to the mountains via I-70, C470, U.S. Highway 6, and Highways 58 and 93.

Cheesman Park is located in central Denver on 25 acres, just southeast of downtown and framed on 3 sides by private residences. This tranquil park is a favorite running location for many, playing soccer or just reading a book.

The most visible attraction in the park is the Pavilion and as been in place since 1908. Today this serves as a place for public gatherings and behind the gorgeous pavilion there is also many groves of tall trees, rose gardens and view of the mountains. The Cheesman Park neighborhood is also one of the oldest in Denver.

LOCATION: The boundaries include Colfax Avenue to the north and 8th Avenue to the south; Downing Street to the west and York Street to the east.

EVENTS: The Park Art Festival and Denver’s Pridefest held annually.

City Park is nestled to the east of central downtown Denver – just over 1 mile – and is Denver’s version of New York City’s Central Park sprawled across 320 acres. This makes it great for cycling enthuses and those that enjoy public transportation.

LOCATION: The boundaries include 23rd avenue to the north; Colfax Avenue to the south; York Avenue to the west and Colorado Blvd to the east.

EVENTS:  Jazz in the park; Denver’s Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon; Colfax Marathon; Colorado Symphony Orchestra; Fresh and Flea Market; Martin Luther King Parade and Colorado Black Art Festival. Almost every summer weekend the park is active with numerous events, races and annual activities, making the park one of the most popular destinations in Denver.

ATTRACTIONS: While maneuvering through the park you will notice that there are 15 athletic fields; 14 tennis courts; 4 permitted group picnic areas; 2 playgrounds; 5 formal gardens; over 3500 trees representing over 40 different species; 9 historically significant monuments and structures including the Bandstand and the City Park Pavilion.

City Park is also the home of the Denver Zoo; Denver Museum of Nature and Science; Ferril and Duck Lakes and a boathouse. East High School is located on the south southwest corner.

In addition, the City Park neighborhood is also home of the Bluebird Theater that was built in 1913 and has became an important part of the community as a live music venue.
